Adding Reminders from other Apps

In this lesson for Reminders on the iPad, we look at how we can add a reminder form another app, such as Safari or Maps.

Creating a Reminder from another App
To create a reminder from another app, we need to ‘Share’ it to the Reminders app. As an example, if I want to share a location from the Maps app in a new Reminder, I open the Maps app, find the location, and tap on the Share icon. From there I select Reminders in the Share Sheet that shows. When you do this, you can add text to the reminder, select a list to place it in, and add alerts. Your map will be located in the note section of the reminder.

If you wanted to share a link from Safari, you open Safari, find the website, and then again, tap on the Share icon. The Share Sheet will open and then tap on Reminders. Again, you’ll be able to add text, select the Reminders list you want the reminder in, and add alerts. Your link will be located in the note section of the reminder.
