Favoring and Sharing Photos

In this lesson for Photography with the Camera app on the iPhone we look at how we favorite and share photos while in the Camera app.

Favoriting Photos and Videos
When you are reviewing your photos (tap on the thumbnails in the lower left corner to review your photos while in the Camera app), you’ll see a heart at the bottom center. We favorite a photo or video by tapping on this. When you tap on the heart, it will become solid, indicating that that photo or video is favorited. Tap on it again to unfavorite it.

When you favorite a photo or video, it will show in your Favorites album in the Photos app on your iPhone. If you are using iCloud Photo Library, it will also show in your favorite album on your other devices.

Sharing Photos and Videos
To share your photos and videos, tap on the share icon in the lower left corner. When you do this, you’ll be able to elect which photos and videos you want to share. Tap on a photo or video to select it. When it is selected, you’ll see a blue checkmark on the photo or video. Once you have the photos and videos selected, you just need to decide how you want to share them but tapping on one of the options below your photos and videos. As an example, to email them to someone, you’d tap on Mail.

That’s how you favorite and share photos and videos using the camera app on the iPhone.
