Viewing your Account and Account Options

In this lesson for the Books app on the iPhone, I look at how you can view your account information including where you can see your books that need updating, purchased books, and books that you’ve hidden from your library.

Viewing your Account Information
To view your account information, you need to be in the Reading Now tab at the bottom of the Books app. From there, you tap on your avatar in the upper right corner of the Books App. This will open your account where you can view various information including purchased and hidden books.

Viewing your Purchases
When viewing your account information, you can view your purchases. This includes any purchased book that has updates, your purchased books, and your purchased audiobooks. Tap on any one of these to view them.

Manage Hidden Purchases
This is where your books are that you’ve hidden from your library. When you tap on this, the Books app will ask for your password. Once you type it in, what you can do is unhide any books you’ve hidden. Once you unhide them, they will show back in your library.

Redeem Gift Cards or Codes
If you have a gift card or code, tap on this to enter or scan that code in.

View Account Settings
When you tap on this, you can view your account settings including the Apple ID associated with your Books account, family sharing options, payment options, ratings and reviews, if you want to receive personalized recommendations, subscriptions, and purchase history. You can also remove your device from your account.
