Browsing Books in the Book Store

In this lesson for the Books app on the iPhone, I take a look at how we browse the store including viewing all the books in a series, downloading a sample book, and viewing all the books by a specific author.

Entering the Book Store
To enter the Book Store in the Books app on your iPhone, you need to tap on the Books Store tab at the bottom of the app.

Viewing Featured Collections of Books
When you first open the Book Store on the Books app, you’ll see various collections. These could be featured groups such as summer reading, guilty pleasures, or Best of the Month. Think of these collections as the first books you see when you first enter a brick and mortar bookstore.

For You
The For You section are books recommended for you based on books you’ve purchased and loved through the Books app.

Viewing the Information about a Book
Tap on a book to see more information about the book. You can download a sample of the book, view a description of the book, as well as view ratings of the book. If you click on the author’s name, you can see all the books that author. If it is part of a series of books, you can also click on the series to see all the books in that series.
