In this lesson for the Clock app on the iPhone we look at how to use the timer feature. With the Timer feature we can use the iPhone as a timer.
Using the Timer on the iPad
The first thing you do is set the time for the Timer. Once you do that, tap on Start. The Timer will start counting down. If you want to change the sound the timer plays when it gets to the end, tap on Radar, Radar being the name of the current sound it is going to play. You will need to do this before you start your timer. Once you start the Timer, you can pause it by tapping on Pause. Tap on Resume to resume it. To stop the Timer, you tap on Done.
Using Siri to Create a Timer
This is usually how I create a Timer, by using Siri to create it. Just start Siri and say something like “Set the timer for 10 minutes”. Siri will then go and create a Timer in the Clock app for 10 minutes and start it automatically.
