Adding Reminders from other Apps

In this lesson for Reminders on the iPhone we look at how to add reminders from other apps such as Maps or Safari.

Adding Reminders from other Apps
To add a reminder from another app, you need to share what you want the reminder to be with the Reminders app. As an example, if you want to create a reminder with a link from Safari, you you open the web page in Safari and share that to the Reminders app. If you want to create a reminder form a location in the Maps app, you open that location in the Maps app and share that to the Reminders app. The way you do this is you look for the ‘Share’ icon (it’s the rectangle with an arrow pointing out the top of it) in the app you want to share. When you tap on Share, you’ll see a number of option sin the Share Sheet, one of them being Reminders. Tap on Reminders.

Setting Reminder Detail while Sharing
When you share to the Reminder App, you’ll be presented with the option to add detail to the Reminder you are creating. You can select which list you want the Reminder to be in, and you can add a note to the Reminder. You can also set when you want to be reminded. Tap on Add when you are ready to create your Reminder from your app.
