Adding and Deleting Stocks to Watch

In this lesson for Stocks on the iPhone we look at how we add and delete stocks as well as how we rearrange how they are shown in the Stocks app on the iPhone.

Adding Stocks to Watch
In the lower right hand corner and you’re going to see three lines. When you tap on them, a card will slide up. In this card you are able to add, delete, and rearrange what stocks you are monitoring on your iPhone. To add a stock, just tap on the ‘+’ in the upper left corner. From there you can type in the company name or if you know the stock symbol, type int he symbol. If you have a number of results, just select the correct company.

Deleting Stocks you are Watching
To delete a stack you are watching, just tap on the red ‘-‘ to the left of the stock symbol. You’ll be asked to confirm it by tapping on Delete in red on the right of the stock symbol you are deleting.

Reordering Stocks you are Watching
To reorder or rearrange the stocks you are watching, just drag the three lines to the right of the stock symbol you want to movie. You can drag it up or down to move it in your list of stocks you are watching.

Percentage, Price, Market Cap
At the bottom of your display when you are looking at your list of stocks you want to edit, you’ll see percentage, price and market cap. The one that is selected is what will show when you tap on Done in the upper right corner. So once you add a stock and you want to see the price, tap on price at the bottom and then when you tap on done, you’ll see the price. You can always tap on it to change what is shown.
