Searching Stocks and Adding to your Watchlist

In this lesson for Tutor for the Stocks app on the iPhone, I look at how we search for stocks and then add them to our Watchlist in the new redesigned Stocks app on the iPhone with iOS 12.

Searching for Stocks
To search for a stock, you just swipe down below the date at the top of the app. This will reveal the Search field. Just type in the stock symbol or company name to search for a stock. If the stock is in your Watchlist, it will show at the top below ‘Watchlist’. If it is not in your Watchlist, it will show below ‘Symbols’. Tap on the stock to view the details about that stock.

Adding a Stock to your Watchlist from a Search
When you are viewing the details about a stock after you search for it, you will see a green ‘+’ to the left of the Stock symbol. Tap on the ‘+’ to add it to your Watchlist.
