Setting Alarms and Alarm Options

In this lesson for the Clock app on the iPad we look at the Alarm features we have including creating repeating alarms, labeling alarms, changing the sound of an alarm, and setting the snooze option.

Accessing your Alarms
To access your alarms, you tap on Alarm in the Clock app along the bottom. When you do this, you will see all your alarms.

Creating a New Alarm
To create a new alarm, you tap on the ‘+’ in the upper right corner. From there you set when you want that alarm to go off, if it is going to repeat, edit the label, play a sound, and if you want to be able to snooze it.

Editing an Existing Alarm
To edit an existing alarm, you tap on ‘Edit’ in the upper left corner. When you do this, you can edit when the alarm is going to go off, if it is going to repeat, edit the label, play a sound, and if you want to be able to snooze it.

Setting a Repeating Alarm
When you are creating or editing an alarm and you want it to repeat, tap on Repeat and then set when you want it to repeat.

Adding a Label
You can also add a label to an alarm. The label will show when the alarm goes off.

Setting the Sound
You can set the sound of an alarm by tapping on Sound.

Allowing the Option to Snooze an Alarm
If you want to be able to snooze an alarm, you tap on the Snooze slider when creating or editing an alarm. When you turn this on and the alarm goes off, you’ll have the option to snooze it.

Delete an Alarm
To delete an existing alarm, you go back to Edit in the upper left corner. When you do this, you’ll see a red ‘-‘ next to each alarm. Just tap on tis to delete an alarm.
