Setting When you want to be Reminded

In this lesson for Reminders on the Mac we look at how we schedule reminders to alert us at a later date and time.

Setting a Reminder to be Due Tomorrow
You can quickly set a reminder to be due on the following day at 9am. To do this, you just control-click on it (hold down the control key while clicking on it). When you do this, you’ll see an option for Due Tomorrow. Select this and the Reminders app will make your reminder due tomorrow at 9am.

Setting a Reminder to be Due on a Specific Day
To set a reminder to be due on a specific day, you move your cursor to the right while hovering over the reminder. When you do this, at the end of the reminder you’ll see an ‘i’. When you click on this, an information window will open with various options, one being that you can elect a day you want your reminder to be due. You can also set a specific time to be reminded on that day.

You can also go to View in the menu bar and then elect Show Info to set when you want to be reminded. Just remember to select the reminder before you select View in the menu bar.

Viewing Completed Reminders
To view all your completed reminders, you first select the list and then a link to view your completed reminders will show at the top. If you do not see it, you may need to ‘pull down’ the reminders to make it appear.
