How to Force Quit an app on the Mac

Force quit

Mac apps are pretty stable these days, but every once in a while you may have it where that app is acting strange and you want to quit it. Maybe it’s frozen and you can’t even quit it even if you wanted to. This is usually an older app when it happens to me. You could restart your Mac, but there is an easier way – force quit the app causing you the issue.

How do you quit it without restarting your Mac? It’s pretty easy. Go to the app’s icon in your Dock. When you hold down the Control key and click on it, you are going to get a few options, one being Force Quit. Just select this and the Mac OS will force that app to quit. In most cases you can restart it and everything will be fine. Hope the tip helps!
