Accessing Voice Memos from the Control Center

In this lesson for Voice Memos on the iPhone we look at how we add the Voice Memo Control to the Control Center on the iPhone and the different options we have for the Voice Memo Control.

Adding Voice Memo Control to the Control Center
To add the option to access your voice memos from the Control Center on your iPhone, you first need to add the Voice Memo Control to the Control Center. You do this i the Settings app of your iPhone. When you open the Settings app, tap on Control Center.

Now tap on Customize Controls. This will allow you to customize your Control Center. You’ll see two sections; Include and More Controls. Include is what is included in your Control Center currently. More Controls are where you find the other controls we can add to our Control Center including Voice Memos. Find Voice Memos and tap on the green plus to the left of the name. This will add Voice Memos to your Control Center. You’ll see that Voice Memos moved from More Controls to Include section.

To change where it is located in the Control Center, you drag the three lines to the right of the name. Just drag them to where you want Voice Memos to be in your Control Center.

Control Center Options
When you open your Control Center, you will now see a control for Voice Memos. When you tap on this control, the Voice Memo app will open. You can also tap and hold on the control to get more options including creating a new voice memo and playing a recent voice memo.
