Zooming and Collapsing a Note

In this lesson we look at how we zoom and collapse a Stickies Note window. With zooming, we make it full screen, while collapsing only shows the title bar.

Zooming a Stickies Note Window
When you Zoom a Stickies window you are make the Stickies not window fill your display. To zoom a window, you just click on the triangle in the upper right corner of the Stickies note you want to zoom. When you do this, the window expands or ‘zooms’ to fill your display. When it does this, it is still a window. I can drag it around by grabbing the title bar at the top, so if does not make it a full-screen app, it just zooms the window to fill the screen. To make is small again, we click on the triangle again in the upper right corner again.

Collapsing a Stickies Note Window
To collapse a stickies note window you click on the square in the upper right corner of the note. This icon is next to the triangle icon that zooms the window. When you collapse it, it just shows the title bar to the note. Click on the icon again to show the note.

When you collapse a note, the Stickies note will show the first sentence in the title bar, so what I recommend is adding a title to your Stickies Notes. This just has to be a few words so then when you collapse it, you can easily see what the note is about.

You can also go the Window in the menu bar to Zoom and Collapse a note and double-click on the title bar to collapse a note.
